I’ve never done one of these before and every year I watch a photographer called Ed Godden’s yearly slideshow which always makes me want to do one for myself.

Granted he takes a lot more photo’s than me because he does it for a full time job, and his photo’s are just incredible (if you don’t believe me click the link above to his website). We’ve hired him to shoot our wedding next year, which I am soooooo happy about and I’m actually looking forward to seeing the pictures more than I’m excited for the wedding itself, can I say that?…

Anyway, I put together this video of some of my favourite pictures I shot last year. I hope you enjoy it, its nearly 8 mins, so make yourself a brew, put your feet up and let me know what you think! I might make this a yearly thing as I’ve had quite a few nice comments about it already!

When Christmas takes place, everyone always says they need to make plans to see people, blah blah, but it never actually happens.

Well with my good friend Natalie, this is a tradition which we don’t like to skip out on. Especially as seeing my goddaughter is always something you don’t wanna stop happening.

This Christmas, we travelled up to their brand new house that they moved into literally about 3 days previously! Which was really nice to be given the tour by my little buddy Charlie.

I took my camera to get a couple of pictures, purely because I couldn’t believe how fast they were both growing up, it’s time like this that I’m really glad I’m a photographer and I’m sure my friends with children are too….

Over Christmas I had some time off, and one morning I woke up, opened the curtains and there was snow! Not much of it, but it’s South England, I’ll take what I get.

Now having a dog like Opie, who is half husky, I could tell by the look in his eyes that he needed to be out in it. I also had a text from Meche that simply read “please take some pictures of Opie in the snow today”….

I mean, I’d be a pretty shit photographer if I didn’t do exactly that.

So I might be a bit biased, but my goddaughter is probably the cutest child alive (just a little biased maybe), so when Natalie asked me if we could do a birthday photo shoot for her, I was stoked of course.

The original idea was a “cake smash” shoot, but if you look at the pictures below, you’ll see a distinct lack of cake smashing pictures…. It didn’t really go to plan, int he fact that Immy didn’t even want to touch the cake, let alone smash it. Instead she wanted to eat a ham wrap. It’s actually pretty difficult to work with 1 year olds…

That said, below are a couple of pictures of her not smashing a cake.

What can I say about this wedding that I got asked to shoot?…. It was extraordinary, no other words.

The venues for the whole day were incredible, especially the Reception, I’ve never seen something quite like it. The guests made me feel so welcome, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was just unbelievable and the Bride and Groom are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

It was really hard to choose a handful of pictures to post here, dare I say it was my most favourite wedding I’ve been to at risk of upsetting everyones wedding I’ve been to or worked at?…

I was asked to take some photo’s for a mum of someone I went to school with, at a lovely little pub on the outskirts of Newbury.

It was a lovely day and you could really feel the love within the family which was beautiful.

Below are a couple of my favourite shots from the day.

As the following years, theLAB have been sponsoring and attending Endless Summer VW Show in Basingstoke.

Every year this show is getting bigger and bigger and every year theLAB do our best to raise as much money for the charity the show is supporting – Naomi House and Jacksplace, an awesome charity that provides expert hospice care to more than 280 life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight.

As usual, theLAB, as official sponsors of the event and also designed and printed a LTD Edition T-Shirt complete with a LTD edition sticker for the event.

I put together this short video to showcase the day. Enjoy!

I had a film in my camera that I was taking photo’s with every now and again, it came back the other week developed so I’ve decided to post a few pictures here. More will be posted on my Instagram, as usual.

No doubt there will be a lot of photos of this child as the parents are very good friends of mine, and who doesn’t like a baby photo, right?

But we went to the pub the other night for Georgie’s birthday and I thought I’d take my camera along as I had got any proper pictures of Tilly since the week after she was born; she has so many more expressions now.

I upload a load more pictures on Instagram than on here, so I try to keep the quantity of the content down a bit. For more pictures go give my Instagram a follow!! – @rosspennyphotography

I shot a wedding at the beginning of August and to date it was one of the most relaxed and fun weddings that I have shot. I knew the groom loosely through friends, but both his bride and himself made me feel like one of the family and the whole wedding was so full of fun, it was a pleasure to shoot.

I gave the photo’s to them the other day and I was overwhelmed with the kind words I have received about them, it is truly heartwarming to have people appreciate your work so much, so if either of you are reading this, thank you again.

I’m sure over the next few weeks, people that know the bride and groom will start seeing pictures, but for now, and before I start posting them on Instagram, here’s a select few.
