Unfortunately, this year saw to Ruck Society in Basingstoke closing down shop, luckily they are still operating online.

It’s savage to be fair. Basingstoke doesn’t have a decent skatewear shop (especially one that sells clothing from theLAB….) and it was amazing what a bunch of kids from Basingstoke accomplished in getting this far with the shop and even introducing their own clothing brand who distributing others.

That said, I expect big things from these boys in the future and wish them all the best going forward!

I’m getting terrible at this “updating the blog” thing, so I’m gonna give you a few updates in one go….

First of all, my other half and I went to Iceland at the start of February, so here’s a few photo’s of our trip. Everything in Iceland is like a postcard anywhere you look, and photo’s really don’t do it justice. So despite the cost of everything being extortionate, I highly recommend going.

The new year has been pretty busy for me already, so I haven’t had a chance to update my blog recently.

I took a few photos over Christmas/New Year of my good friend Natalie’s family. She had a little baby girl after the summer last year and I finally got to meet her over Christmas, so naturally I decided to arrange another visit and take my camera to get some snapshots of their happy family.
Her son has so much character for a 3 year old and is a joy to hang out with.

We decided to meet up again on New Years Eve to go for a dog walk too, so I took my camera along again. I really enjoyed taking these pictures, I love catching the natural side of people instead of the “pose for the camera” type shots, I feel it really captures the person a lot more.

Below are several of the shots I took over these two occasions. I’ll try update my blog a bit more regularly from now on (but probably not). Of course, if you wanted to see some pictures more often from myself, I started up an Instagram for my photography work in the summer – @rosspennyphotography – so it’d be real nice if you gave it a follow.

So Today I had a small intimate wedding to photograph. Just a ceremony and a few group shots with a group of people who were definitely having the most amount of fun you could have at a wedding.

I haven’t photographed a wedding for about a year, so I was a little nervous to be honest, but I had nothing to worry about. The Bride and Groom made me feel very welcome and many a laugh was had.

So before I sit down to look at each photo carefully and decide which ones I’m going to put into a photobook, I am going to put a few right here.

Here’s to my next wedding! (to photograph, not take part in)

Starting last year, Endless Summer 2016 marks the second annual VW Show hosted by Allan Shepherd at Basingstoke War Memorial Park. The event is held to support Naomi House and Jacksplace, an awesome charity that provides expert hospice care to more than 280 life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight.

This year showed a lot of familiar faces and some new ones. Compared to last year, this was a good step up, with more stands, more facilities/activities and certainly more cars. The way this event is growing, I think the might have to spread it over a weekend, come 5 years or so.

As usual, theLAB head down as official sponsors of the event and also designed and printed a LTD Edition T-Shirt for the event, design by yours truly.

I put together this edit to showcase a handful of the local car talent among the VAG community.
