The other week, my friend Sarah rung me up at a stupid time of the morning (around midnight – but I was tired) and proposed to me that she wanted to start a clothing company consisting of cars, half-naked girls and tattoos, I obviously agreed I would help because thats just a list of things I like.

After several facetime conversations and plan making texts, we arranged a photoshoot for some pictures that were gonna make it onto some t-shirts, then I got on photoshop to edit the pictures to make them t-shirt worthy and to also design a logo.

So in the last couple of weeks, I have designed the logo, made a few sticker designs and done a photoshoot with Sarah to create the designs of the first run of t-shirts.

Below is some of the pictures I have done and a couple of stickers designs.

Naturally, nothing is made yet and there is no website yet, but that should all be coming together soon and I shall obviously let you know when it has. I just need to pull my finger out to design and create the website and Sarah needs to get the shirts printed….then we’ll all be away.
I sent off earlier today for the Sticker order, so they shouldn’t be too long!

Enjoy!

I had never used Illustrator before today and I noticed someone using it on Instagram for the first time the other day and said she taught herself via YouTube to be able to use it.

So I decided to give it a go, and after watching a few 10min tutorials I gave it a go.

I used a picture my friend Kristy Cullum drew and set to work with my first time using Illustrator.

Below are the stages of my venture into my 1st attempt, starting with the original drawing on the left, then my trace in the next photo, then with colour, then the next two photos are pretty similar, but the one on the end has fully weighted lines and the other has only partially weighted lines.

It took me around 3 hours all in all, but I’m quite happy with it for my 1st go.

I made a video for Edition38 last year, which can be seen here, and I haven’t made a car video since that…..and considering that was my first car video, I thought I’d create another one for Edition38 this year.

Pretty self explanatory really, we had a rad weekend and this is the outcome….”

This year I wasn’t allowed to take any video of the riding etc. which was a bit of a pain and I hope they change it back to normal for next year.

Nevertheless, I still headed along and got a couple of snaps, the one above is of Sam Jones doing a 180 bars down the stair set in the street spot, I liked it, so I thought I’d post it here.

Below is a video I made with theLAB as our experience of the festival. Description is underneath.

Enjoy!

“This year at NASS 2012, I wasn’t allowed to film the BMXing due to only mpora having the exclusive rights or something like that.

So us at theLAB decided to just put a little edit together of what we got up to.

We also put a GoPro on Jamie Smyth’s head, but being an unreliable drunken state as usual, he got it stolen on the first night so I am now without a GoPro or the footage, which probably would’ve been remarkable, I’m sure.

Luckily, I managed to grab an interview with Steveo and Cone from Sum 41, so thats a nice little feature at the end of this video.

I hope you all enjoy it as much I as we enjoyed filming it.

Now go and buy some clothes from theLAB.

Filmed on: Canon 60D w/ Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and Samyang 8mm Fisheye f/3.5

Ok, so the website hasn’t changed when it comes to layout, but I have changed the logo, colour scheme, fonts, links and added a new portfolio page.

I had an idea the other day to make myself some new stickers, some circular ones, so I came up with a design.
But after looking at it and getting a few opinions, I decided the grey colour I was using to match my website colour scheme was a bit dull and needed to stand out a bit more.
So naturally, I decided to change the colour scheme of my website and make the new sticker design my new logo just to keep it a bit more up to date.

While doing this, I thought I might as well change all the fonts, links etc which to be honest, did take a while. Then halfway through I decided to add a new Portfolio page, which can be seen by clicking the above link 😉

After reassign it was easier just to completely start from scratch and spending about 7 hours sitting in the pub with a friend, stealing wifi and battling with html code, tedious amounts of writing code, copy and pasting and photoshopping, I finally finished what I had planned.

So please feel free to have a quick look around, and please let me know if anything doesn’t look right or doesn’t work right. As it is new and I may have missed something.

🙂
