This year at NASS was the 5th year running for theLAB…

I have to say, we do complain sometimes about it, either because we don’t sell enough, or we just find it boring etc., but we do always come away with some hilarious memories and we do laugh a lot.

This year was no exception, we had our fair share of laughs and good times.

4 days before we went, I was in A&E at the hospital, finding out I had been walking on a broken knee for the past 3 months and some bone was floating around in my kneecap, when I was just told I sprained it….. So this was a slight setback to filming an edit at NASS, to say the least.

Luckily my mate stepped up and borrowed his grandma’s wheelchair for me to get around in, and even though it kept getting stolen (by people I knew) so they could get the sympathy vote from friends and passing strangers, it still proved very useful to get around in to film.

So this edit was filmed mostly in a wheelchair, and with some help from Lil Man with my GoPro.

Stephen Hawking would be proud.

So, if you live in or near Basingstoke and haven’t checked out the All Our Own Work Gallery in the Town Centre, then you really need to get down there.

They started off in a small shop next to the Sports Centre, but after 6 weeks there, they’ve just been given the old Republic store next to the Bus Station….

It’s significantly bigger, with an even bigger range of local artists.

All the artists in there have different styles and different work, most work on commission too, so you can get exactly what you want and make it definitely unique.

They facilitate everyone, from the regular person who appreciates a nice picture, to the full-on art collector. With variety of digital prints, paintings, clothing, ceramics and furniture. There is literally something for everyone.

I’ve got a couple of good friends with work in there so I thought I’d head down and get some photos, I’m not going to post a lot though, purely because you need to go down and witness it for yourself.

And take some cash too, I know every time I go in there, I wish I had some more money, because great stuff is constantly popping up. So go down to Basingstoke Town Centre and take a look.

Ok, so a couple months ago, the guys at theLAB and myself decided to get our whole team together for a session, film it, then release an edit…

Now, it proved more difficult than thought to get 9 people free on one day to meet in one place…

So, in the end, it happened over 2 sessions around a month apart, so this edit has been eagerly awaited by all, mostly myself, because it has been waiting on the back of my mind for too long now.

So, after enough due time, I present to you my production of “theLAB at Rush Skatepark Spring 2014“.

I hope to arrange more team edit’s because despite the hassle, it was actually really fun to make.

So stay tuned, and let your eyes dig in, share, like, dislike, I don’t care, as long as you give it a chance….

theLAB took a couple trips to Rush Skatepark this spring and filmed a few clips.
We put together this edit documenting that time.

Earlier today, I went up to Northampton for Early Edition.

First of all, considering the recent fluctuation in the weather conditions, I don’t think we could’ve asked for a nicer day. In fact, I think most people there probably came back with a red face and arms from the rays.

Second of all, compared to last year, this year had such a better turnout, in my opinion. It was much busier and the cars there really pushed the boundaries.

Of course, as usual though, I didn’t spend much time there, because I wanted to get this edit out asap, so I wanted take the 100mile trip home so I could get started.

It’s just a small edit that I’ve knocked together since I got home, so take a look, give it a like and even possibly give it a share if you’re feeling saucy.

Peace.

On a cold winters day, I head up to London and stood around in a freezing cold skatepark to get some clips of theLAB’s newly sponsored rider Steve Fraser.

I learnt that the usual day for Steve usually consists of a nice lay in, followed by car cleaning, followed by hitting it hard at his local park that I am assured is usually rammed with scooters and graffiti such as “scooterfags” and “wasteman ting”. The day ends with usually a Wagamama’s or a Nando’s, and due to Steve having a free whole chicken lined up, he had planned this Nando’s and was looking forward to it for a while.

Luckily, we didn’t encounter many “scooterfags” at the park…..in fact we didn’t really encounter many people at all.

With some support from Kat, Steve’s girlfriend…. and his mate Damo, who is a very strange character and I still can’t believe some of the stories he came out with – it was an honour to meet him, we spent about 4 hours at a baltic windy skatepark and managed to get enough footage to put together this edit.
